Lobuche Peak is situated over the village of Lobuche in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is also one of the widely known peaks for attracting climbers. This mountain has got two summits: Lobuche East (height-6,119m) and Lobuche West (height-6,145m). There is an unbroken ridge that connects these two summits.  Ang Gyalzen Sherpa and Laurence Neilson in 1984 were the first ones to climb Lobuche East, which is approached from the south point. One can see the scenic view of the Khumbu valley and most outstandingly view of Everest, glaciers, Lhotse, Nuptse, AmaDablam and Pumori from the east summit. You will need a peak permit to attempt for the Lobuche east, while the Lobuche West can only be climbed after expedition permit is obtained. The maximum height that can be reached during this expedition is 6,119m which is the height of Lobuche west summit.

The route for Lobuche Peak climbing begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. We follow the route for Everest Base camp and reach the village of Lobuche from Lukla. We move ahead from Lobuche towards the peak and follow the same route to return to Kathmandu. We provide different package in this expedition that will cover meals and accommodation.

If you are interested to climb the Lobuche peak, the best time is in spring (April & May) and autumn (October & November) because these seasons provide favorable weather, road and visibility. Since the Lobuche Peak climbing in the east summit needs technical knowledge, it can be provided in Kathmandu on special request. One needs to be physically and mentally healthy to reach this summit. Thus, preparation is necessary to be successful.

Though you won’t see the views of mountain while climbing the Lobuche peak, you will see the majestic beauty of the landscape of the Kumbu region, different birds, flora and fauna inside the Sagarmatha National Park. Except these, you can also see the primeval settlements, culture, religion and unique agricultural practices of Sherpas. Sherpas are known for their hospitality. Thus, you will have a great time during this trek.
