Naya Kanga Peak with the altitude of 5846m lies 19 miles north of Kathmandu valley in the Langtang region. Though this peak is less attempted by climbers in Nepal, it is for everyone who is physically fit and has got trekking experience. If you are a beginner in climbing mountains, you can go for Naya Kanga Peak climbing because this peak climbing doesn’t require that much of technical knowledge. Naya Kanga is located in the east of Kanjing Gompa (3850m) and west of Ganja La (5110m). It is also referred as Ganja La Chuli amidst the adventure community. A day rest in Knjing Gompa gives you opportunity to visit two famous places; Kanjing Ri (4600m) and TserkoRi (4980m) and also to adapt yourself to the environment before going for Naya Kanga. The next morning in Knjing Gompa begins with a panoramic drive to central bus station. You will see the terraced farming field, typical village thatched roofs and fantastic Himalayas during the drive from the bus station to Dhunche which is at 1950m. After this station, the trek will offer you view of the rhododendron and bamboo forest. You will get many chances to get adapted and experience the wilderness of the region with comparatively less efforts. During the trek, you will pass through Tamang and Tibetan settlement and get to know their cultural diversities and living styles. Other attractions in this trek are monasteries, chortens and Mani walls along with the colorful prayer falgs. In this area, there are huge meadows, glaciers and deserted alpine valley which create a perfect pleasant environment.

The trail to reach the Naya Kanga Peak also leads to a suspension wooden bridge that lies over the Langtangriver and climbs to the Ganja La Pass where base camp is set up. Next, we fix a high base camp and then go through its north-west ridge to the peak. Though the route is a bit technical to climb with some ice slopes and steep snow, it provides an exceptional sight of Langtang Lirung (7425 m), LangshishaRi (6370 m), Shishapangma (8064 m) PemthangRi (6836 m) and Jugal Himal ranges. For climbing down, we follow the same route to Kanjing Gompa and go back to Syabrubesi and finally return Kathmandu. If you are searching for a wonderful place to enjoy your holidays, make the trip to Langtang Hidden valley and Naya Khang peak climbing. Hurry up!
