A new trekking route, the Gurja Village to Jaljala Trek, is on the way. With recent updates, Mahabir Pun, the independent representative of parliament, announced a totally new trekking route of 5 days in Gandaki Province. According to the project, the trail passes through unexplored routes of Myagdi district, passing Modi village, Gurja village, and completing the route at Jaljala. Later, it can be connected to Dorpatan.

Where is the Gurja Village to Jajale trekking Trail?

Jaljala trekking trail is planned and drawn over the landscapes of Myagdi District, Nepal. The trekking path is planned to provide travelers and trekkers a new taste with a totally new trekking trail on traditional immersion of Magar people. It covers the local junction points like Nerbang, Kharibas, Gurja, Bhisne, Dhunga Gha, and Upallo Jaljale. Just below the Upallo Jaljale, another hiking route also branches to Dhorpatan and Maikot.

Features of Jaljala trek

The features of the Jaljala trekking trail are mostly connected to the authentic experience of the local lifestyle of Magar communities. As the trail is also not much travelled or is underexplored, the original experience will be the highlight of the Gurja to Jaljale Trek.
 
Along with it, the places where the routes are drawn, it was travelled and used by the shepherds from ancient times. So, with its significance to ancient routes, it offers a typical, hilly journey of Himalayan people.
 
The Myagdi district is a mid-hill district and is very near the Himalaya Range, so the panoramic view of the Dhaulagiri Range and Annapurna Range offers breathtaking scenery.
 
Also, Jaljala is a religiously significant place that holds beliefs from the Ramayana, where it is believed Jaljala Hill is the “Kalanhar Parbat”.
 
The rich biodiversity makes it a hub for herbal medicinal plants too. And unexplored terrains for travelers make the Jaljale trek a new short trek with a typical mid-hill and upper-hill experience.  

Altitude and Duration of Jaljale trek

The Jaljale trekking trail covers an altitude of about 3300m and revolves around the average altitude of 2000m to 3000m. The planned itinerary of the Jaljale Trek is 5 days, with the outline from the Nepal Tourism Board and recent updates from the representative of Myagdi, Mahabir Pun.
