Cho-Oyu Expedition in 2026

Overview

Rising gracefully to 8,188 meters, Cho-Oyu stands between the Nepal and Tibet border. Cho-Oyu is known as the Turquoise Goddess for its serene slopes and striking beauty. Cho-Oyu doesn't reward with its breathtaking views; it rewards you with patience, perspective, and the profundity of the Himalayan beauty. Cho-Oyu is the best choice for those who want to acquire an 8,000-meter-high peak with moderate technical challenge. Cho-Oyu offers rewarding views of all the Tibetan peaks and Nepal's highest peak, with a view of  Mt. Everest. Cho-Oyu is the most accessible of the highest mountains in the world due to its relative ease of access, low risk, and usually straightforward topography.

The final step of climbing, It takes 8-10 hours to reach the summit. We will start early at midnight to reach the top early in the morning.  Initially, we ascend up easy snow and rock to the summit plateau, at which point it is only altitude, weather, and fitness that will stop you from reaching the sixth-highest summit. Team health determines the exact summit day. When we reach the top of the Cho-Oyu mountain, we will be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise and the breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Menlungste, and the beautiful Ama Dablam with Tibet peaks and Nepal. Then will descend to Basecamp.
