Ghorepani-Poonhill trek also known as Poon Hill trek falls in the category of best short treks in the Annapurna region. This trek begins at an altitude of 1025m (Birethanti) from where the route reaches to the elevation of 2,806m at Ghorepani and then finally at 3,210m where Poon Hill is located. Poon Hills gifts you with the splendid scene of sun rays striking in the early morning at Annapurna , Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and other 20 high peaks of Annapurna region. The starting and beginning point for this trek is Nayapul. Besides these, Poon Hill trek is also popular as a small Annapurna circuit trekking. Poon Hill is located at the north of Nepal’s widely known lake city, Pokhara. The trekkers enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal exploring views of mountain, terrace farming, waterfalls, dense rhododendron forest and oak forest where you can hear the sweet chirping sounds of birds and sounds of flying butterflies. The Following information will give you some idea about that you need o bring for the trek as the back pack for the trekking in Nepal and the gear play vital role for the successful trip and we suggest you to have all the necessary gear for the trip and not to have unnecessary equipments/things that you will not be using for the trip and list of the gear you need for the trek are:
- Four seasons Sleeping bag (Optional/we can provide one if you do not have on your own and it is to be returned after the trek.
- Duffel or Rucksack bag to keep your all the gear and this will be carried by the porters.

- A down Jacket

- Warm wool hat to cover your ears
- A pair light weight warm gloves.

2. Medicines and First Aid Kits
- Extra Strength Excedrin for altitude related headaches.
- Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
- Immodium or Pepto bismol capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
- Diamox 125 or 250mg tablets for altitude sickness.
- 1 small personal sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as mole skin, band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc.
