From Kathmandu to Pokhara it takes 7 hours of driving. Overnight stay in Pokhara. After checking into your hotel, you will have time to explore Pokhara around the lakeside and enjoy the view of the mountains.

The adventure begins with an early morning scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, one of the most exciting mountain flights in Nepal. During the short flight, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges along with the deep Kali Gandaki Gorge. After landing in Jomsom, the trek continues toward Kagbeni, a beautiful medieval-style village located at the gateway to Upper Mustang. The trail follows the windswept river valley with stunning mountain scenery and unique dry landscapes. Kagbeni welcomes trekkers with narrow alleyways, traditional mud-brick houses, prayer flags, and ancient monasteries that reflect strong Tibetan influence. Overnight stay in Kagbeni.

Leaving Kagbeni behind, the trail officially enters the restricted Upper Mustang region.
