Rising to an elevation of 6,958 meters (22,828 ft), Numbur Himal is one of the hidden climbing gems of eastern Nepal and far beyond the crowd. Located in the peaceful Rolwaling Himalayan range, this mountain offers a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and authentic Himalayan culture. Far from the busy trekking routes, Numbur Himal provides a quieter and more rewarding experience for climbers seeking untouched wilderness and true mountain exploration.
The journey toward Numbur Himal passes through beautiful villages, dense forests, rhododendron forests, suspension bridges, alpine meadows, and glacial valleys like Dhudhkunda Lake and others. Along the trail, travelers can witness the traditional lifestyle of local communities and their culture while enjoying breathtaking scenery filled with snow-covered peaks and crystal-clear rivers. The region remains less commercialized, allowing visitors to experience the raw beauty of the Himalayas in a more peaceful atmosphere.
Spring and autumn seasons are the best seasons for the best and safest expedition. During the Spring and Autumn seasons, the weather remains stable and clear with warm temperatures, which makes the expedition more comfortable and easier. During these seasons, there is a low risk of avalanche, Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS), and a high rate of successful summit.
